The team behind the film prepares to drop the official poster, offering the very first glimpse into its world. Kusha is adding another feather to her cap, taking on a significant acting role in front of the camera while also stepping into the realm of production as a co-producer of this new project. This move highlights her growth, demonstrating a deeper commitment to storytelling and a desire to bring impactful narratives to life. It also signi- fies her potential as a versatile performer, beyond her celebrated online persona. Talking about the film, Kusha said that Vyarth was more than just a film. “It is a mirror reflecting the very real struggle against typecasting in our industry, a chal- lenge central to Bhumi (her character)’s journey. As an actor, you dive deep into your character’s soul, but as a producer, you have to pull back and look at the entire picture. It’s a powerful shift from ‘How do I deliver this line?’ to “How do all these elements create impact?’ This journey, frommaking funny videos in my room to acting in films and now co-producing, feels like a natural evolu- tion.” Vyarth is a film around an underrated actress, Bhumi, who is tired of being typecast in conventional roles. Her aspirations are seemingly crushed when she receives an offer for the role of a mother. The plot takes an intriguing turn when Bhumi’s younger flat-mate, Meenakshi, seeks her help with the very same audition. The film is directed and produced by Pankaj Dayani, who has been an assistant director on Newton, and is written by Fahim Irshad. Casting director Romil Modi is also associated with films like Laapataa Ladies and All we Imagine as Light. Monica O My Darling fame Swapnil S. Sonawale is the DOP. After graduation from the National Institute of Fash- ion Technology in Fashion Design, she has done many other things like being a copywriter, Fashion Editor and even starring in Music Videos apart from acting in films and web series like Selfiee, Sukhee, Masaba Masaba and more. She has also done reality shows. By RajivVijayakar After Massive Success Of Raid 2 And Housefull 5, Riteish Deshmukh Starts Shooting Masti 4 I t has only been the first half of 2025, and Riteish Deshmukh is already celebrating a phenomenal year with two back-to-back blockbusters, Raid 2 and Housefull 5, the former having crossed over Rs. 250 crore worldwide. Fresh off this massive success, the versatile actor is now headed to London to begin filming the highly-anticipated fourth installment of the popular Masti franchise. Says Riteish, “I believe every actor should feel fortu- nate to be part of a franchise or any film that extends into multiple installments as it signifies the love it received over years. I am grateful to be working on several such other projects. I think it’s a source of pride for any actor to be part of a great team coming together to carry forward the franchise that’s been celebrated over decades.” He added, “It feels good when you work hard on some- thing and then hope people will love the film, and I am truly grateful for the kind of love audiences have show- ered on them.” Riteish’s comic timing and dramatic prowess were both on full display in Housefull 5, while Raid 2 show- cased his ability to deliver powerful performances in more serious roles, this time as antagonist. The Masti franchise, known for its over-the-top com- edy and ensemble cast, has garnered a loyal following over the years as the first film was released 21 years ago and the second in 2013. The third film saw a remarkable performance from him but did not do well at the box- office. Apart fromMasti, Riteish will also be seen in Dhamaal 4 and Raja Shivaji, based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which is his second directorial after the massive success of the Marathi film, Ved, under his home production Mumbai Film Company. Incidentally, Riteish is the only actor in 2025, besides Akshay Kumar, who has had more than one hit already. On really hot days, Magwood’s heat pump, which also cools the home, will kick on, but not until the late afternoon, as the house stays at a com- fortable temperature for most of the day. THROW SOME SHADE New construction should feature oversized eaves (4) to shield south and west-facing windows from the sun in the summer. Installing double-or-triple-paned glass and reducing the size of windows (5) that face the afternoon sun also will help lower temperatures Adding a simple awning over sun-blasted windows also is effective, according to Magwood. “The house I grew up in New Hampshire was very uninsulated and the windows were terrible, but because of an awning we were able to keep the rooms a lot cooler,” he says. New win- dows are expensive so adding a solar-reflective coating to existing ones can help lower interior temperatures. While shade trees and other landscaping (10) sur- rounding a home have cooling effects, in wildfire-prone areas, there may be restrictions on vegetation close to a house. HAVE A BACKUP PLAN Heat pumps (6) are highly efficient electrical devices that ease demand on the power grid. However, in a wide- spread heat wave, utility blackouts can happen. A home battery (7) connected to rooftop solar panels can keep the electricity flowing to heat pumps and air condition- ers. If you don’t have solar panels or a stationary energy- storage system, portable lithium-ion batteries can power fans and other devices. DON’T FORGET THE INSIDE OF YOUR HOUSE Putting up blackout curtains (8) or shades on sun- struck sides of a home can ease interior temperatures. Ceiling fans (9) keep air circulating and lower the strain on air conditioners and heat pumps. - Bloomberg LIFESTYLE - Continued From Page 20
