In a proud milestone for rural Gujarat, the 118th school developed under Project ‘Life’ was dedicated at Vasai village, Jamnagar District on January 24, 2026. The newly inaugurated Dr. Nalini Prafullkant Vasanji Primary School reflects a powerful commitment to grassroots education and long-term community development. He emphasized that philanthropy must build systems, not symbols - ensuring sustainable impact for generations of rural children. Dr. Nalini Vassa (USA) Strengthens Rural Education in Gujarat The Philosophy of Giving Back - Dr. Nalini Vassa Dr. Nalini Vassa, a distinguished medical professional based in the United States and originally from Jamnagar, has cons i s t ent ly s uppo r t e d r u r a l e du c a t i on initiatives in her homeland. Her contributions have enabled the development of 04 major educational infrastructures Smt. Shantaben Tulsidas Vassa Primary School, Jamnagar (January 28, 2007), Dr. Nalini Tulsidas Vassa Primary School, Jamnagar (November 30, 2013), Dr. Naliniben Shantaben Vassa Primary School, Vibhapar (February 25, 2017), Dr. Naliniben Prafullkant Vasanji Primary School, Vasai (January 24, 2026) in Jamnagar district, strengthening access to quality infrastructure and inclusive learning environments. Primary education is the vital foundation for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship, yet many rural schools still lack safe infrastructure and modern learning resources. Since 2000, Life Education Centre, through Project ‘Life’, has been transforming rural schools into inclusive, modern learning spaces that inspire enrolment and holistic child development. To date, 119 primary schools have been dedicated, with many more planned in the years ahead. The Vasai school, designed with improved classrooms and modern facilities, currently serves 225 students from Vasai and nearby villages. The initiative forms part of Project ‘Life’s broader mission to the infrastructure development of government primary schools across Saurashtra region, Gujarat.
