Having known him closely for decades, I believe this is to be the first of many such events and programmes which will be dedicated to celebrate the magnanimous man’s life and legacy. I congratulate Project ‘Life’ for the initiative and for the successful celebration on the 27 November 2025, the first Pioneer’s day; fondly recalling his famous words ‘Life’ is my life. th th ime He was a passionate dreamer; his dreams never ceased. They turned into a vision that created a legacy in service to mankind. And he made it his life mission to serve the underserved; to sustain, to strengthen and to save lives. To bring positive change and make a lasting impact. He devoted his life to humanitarian work, so that people live better, stay healthy, be happy; so that children be educated better, so that patients be saved, so that environment be enriched; so that women find livelihood and social status. And he made it all. 47 years of his 81 he dedicated to the cause to serve humanity; and succeeded like only a few would. He created Project ‘Life’ in 1978 the Charity that has touched 9.8 million lives. Pioneer’s Day Celebrations The day began in the early hours of this pleasant winter day with a gathering of over 200 enthusiastic participants who joined the three km Walkathon around Racecourse, from Life Building. Later in the day, Blood Donation Camps and a dedicated Thalassaemia Screening Camp were organized. The day ended with enlightening prayers in the evening at Life building, concluded by words of gratitude by Meetal Koticha Shah. The unique event concluded with healthy refreshments in the Life building plaza in warm and inspiring fellowship with Meetal Koticha Shah’s compassionate words portraying the life work of the great veteran.
